Basketball Recap: New Ulm Comes Up Short

New Ulm was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Mankato East Cougars, falling 100-45. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

New Ulm's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Mankato East, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Ulm will host Marshall at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mankato East, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Century at 7:30 p.m. on January 28th.
