Lakeland hadn't beaten Wawasee on the road since October 11, 2018 but that history sure didn't bother them on Monday. The Lakers blew past the Warriors 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lakers also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Lakeland not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Wawasee between 16 and 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 25-16.

MORGAN HEDGES paced Lakeland's offense, picking up ten kills. HEDGES got some help from ABRIANA SATTERFIELD and her 13 assists. SATTERFIELD was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Lakeland is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Wawasee, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Lakeland will challenge East Noble at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Knights will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more sets each match than the last. As for Wawasee, they have already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Central Noble on the 26th.
