Baseball Recap: Vancleave Takes a Loss

Vancleave was the 5-1 winner over St. Stanislaus when they last played one another back in February of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Rock-a-Chaws by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday.

Vancleave saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Capers, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Vancleave's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. Stanislaus, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Vancleave will look to defend their home field on Friday against St. Patrick at 7:00 p.m. As for St. Stanislaus, they will head out to face off against D'Iberville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rock-a-Chaws 2.8, the Warriors 0.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
