Basketball Game Preview: Inter-Lakes Lakers vs. Somersworth Toppers

Inter-Lakes hasn't had much luck against Somersworth recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Inter-Lakes Lakers will host the Somersworth Toppers at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Inter-Lakes is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They lost 59-39 to Moultonborough Academy.

Meanwhile, Somersworth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against Campbell, falling 70-40. While losing is never fun, the Toppers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while Campbell are ranked fifth).

Inter-Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Somersworth, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Inter-Lakes took their win against Somersworth when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 76-50. Will Inter-Lakes repeat their success, or does Somersworth have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
