Basketball Game Preview: Delavan Panthers vs. Midwest Central Raiders

Delavan is 8-2 against Midwest Central since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Delavan Panthers are taking a road trip to face off against the Midwest Central Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Midwest Central took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Delavan, who comes in off a win.

Delavan took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They walked away with a 62-51 victory over Peoria Heights.

Delavan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bryson Horning, who went 7 of 14 to rack up 20 points along with seven boards and five steals. Horning continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Grady Burrell was another key player, going 5 for 7 on his way to 12 points.

Meanwhile, Midwest Central ended up a good deal behind Farmington on Friday and lost 58-41.

Delavan is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-16 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points over those games. As for Midwest Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 15 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.
