Baseball Game Preview: Riverside Academy Rebels vs. Bourgeois Braves

The Riverside Academy Rebels are taking a road trip to challenge the Bourgeois Braves at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Riverside Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Bourgeois' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Riverside Academy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against St. Thomas Aquinas on Wednesday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons.

Meanwhile, Bourgeois came up short against E.D. White on Thursday, falling 12-2. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Evan Ledet made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Bourgeois' defeat dropped their record down to 6-26. As for Riverside Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 20-12.

Riverside Academy took their win against Bourgeois in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 9-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rebels since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
