Softball Recap: East Jessamine Comes Up Short

East Jessamine's last matchup with Lafayette could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Saturday. East Jessamine came up short against Lafayette, falling 17-8. The Jaguars haven't had much luck with the Generals recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Kylee Oliver was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Layla Butler also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

East Jessamine's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Lafayette, the win keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Jessamine will challenge Western Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lafayette, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Paul Laurence Dunbar at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
