Baseball Recap: Coronado Comes Up Short

Coronado saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They fell 6-1 to the Bingham Miners.

Coronado saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Moreno Jackson, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Coronado has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Bingham, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Coming up, Coronado will take on Bishop Amat at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lancers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Bingham, they are taking a road trip to face off against Riverton at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Miners' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
