Soccer Recap: Riverside-Durham Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hillside last Thursday, Riverside-Durham came back down to earth. The Pirates fell just short of the Chapel Hill Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Riverside-Durham were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Chapel Hill earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Grace Hochstetter and Jocelyn Fernandez scored both of Riverside-Durham's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Riverside-Durham's loss dropped their record down to 10-7-1. As for Chapel Hill, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Riverside-Durham is set to face off against their familiar foe Jordan at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Chapel Hill will square off against rival Northern Durham at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
