Basketball Game Preview: Annapolis Christian Academy Warriors vs. Harvest Christian

The Annapolis Christian Academy Warriors will head out on the road to challenge Harvest Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Annapolis Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Harvest Christian likes a good challenge.

Annapolis Christian Academy will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Sunnybrook Christian, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Annapolis Christian Academy walked away with a 61-49 win over Sunnybrook Christian on Friday. The Warriors pushed the score to 54-33 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lions cut but never quite recovered from.

Annapolis Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jeremiah Cavazos, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 17 points along with five boards and five steals. The dominant performance gave Cavazos a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jacob Segundo, who went 6 of 11 en route to 16 points and three steals.

Annapolis Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Harvest Christian lost to Macedonian Christian on the road by a 55-39 margin on Friday.

Annapolis Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.6 points per game. As for Harvest Christian, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 19-8.

Annapolis Christian Academy came up short against Harvest Christian in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 71-64. Can Annapolis Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
