Soccer Game Preview: Trinity Episcopal vs. Veritas School

The Trinity Episcopal Titans will take on the Veritas School Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Trinity Episcopal came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 4-1 to The Covenant. While losing is never fun, Trinity Episcopal can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 108th, while The Covenant are ranked sixth).

Trinity Episcopal's goal came courtesy of Vie Updike, which was the first she's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Veritas School unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They and Saint Gertrude finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time Veritas School have been dealt a draw since back in March.

Trinity Episcopal's loss dropped their record down to 3-7-2. Veritas School's draw gives them a new season record of 10-3-2.
