It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Xavier College Prep had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top against the O'Connor Eagles by a score of 48-39. 48 seems to be a good number for the Gators as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Xavier College Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sariah McNabb, who posted 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Irene(Noelle) Guiamatsia was another key player, putting up nine points and eight boards.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Audrey Bhesania, who shot 58% from the field en route to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Helms, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 12 points.

Xavier College Prep is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points over those games. With the defeat, O'Connor broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-9.

Xavier College Prep has already played their next game, a 53-45 loss against Millennium on the 27th. As for O'Connor, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 66-27 win against Highland on the 27th.
