Basketball Recap: Zach Stone's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Heartland over El Dorado Christian

Heartland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost to the El Dorado Christian Buffalos on the road by a 53-35 margin. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 506th, while the Buffalos are ranked 248th).

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zach Stone, who posted 11 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Stone, who had ten points and five rebounds.

Heartland's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for El Dorado Christian, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

As of now, neither Heartland nor El Dorado Christian have any future games scheduled.
