Volleyball Recap: Illinois Math & Science Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Illinois Math & Science Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Glenbard South Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Titans of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2021.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-9.

Tyra Church paced Illinois Math & Science Academy's offense, picking up two kills. Church were helped by Fiza Shaikh and Naoimi Pathinvo, who contributed two assists each. Church was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Illinois Math & Science Academy now has a losing record of 12-13-1. As for Glenbard South, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Illinois Math & Science Academy will square off against Hinckley-Big Rock at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Glenbard South, they will head out to face off against Batavia at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
