Volleyball Recap: Salem Comes Up Short

Salem was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Bayside Marlins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Marlins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Salem was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23, 25-19.

Salem's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Bayside, their victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 10-9.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Salem will square off against rival First Colonial at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bayside is set to face off against their familiar foe Landstown at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
