Elwood extended their losing streak to 15 on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 2-20 in the process. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tri-Central Trojans. Surprisingly, this marked the Panthers' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

As for Tri-Central, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-9. Surprisingly, this marked their fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

For Tri-Central's part, they got a great performance from Blake Hartman as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 4.1 innings pitched. Hartman also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Trojans are 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-8 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Weston Enright was excellent, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double. He has become a key player for Tri-Central: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three RBI, but 2-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Brody Arnold, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Elwood has already played their next contest, a 9-8 win against Monroe Central on the 12th. As for Tri-Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-9 loss against Tipton on the 12th.
