Mt. Shasta entered their tilt with Weed on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cougars. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.
Mt. Shasta was especially dominant in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-16, 23-25, 25-17, 25-15.
Riley Turner paced Mt. Shasta's offense, picking up 11 kills. Turner got some help from Amirra Funk and her 29 assists. Finally, Savannah Henson kept Mt. Shasta's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.
Despite the loss, Weed still got an impressive performance from Judith Atondo, who had 21 digs. Atondo has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last seven times she's played.
