Basketball Recap: Hilltop Christian Sets Scoring Season-High Against Woodland Baptist Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hilltop Christian). They walked away with a 47-38 victory over the Woodland Baptist Christian Eagles on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.

Alaina Cash had a dynamite game, shooting 50% from the field en route to 18 points along with six boards and three steals. Those 18 points gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Manriquez, who posted five points and nine rebounds.

Hilltop Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Woodland Baptist Christian, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Hilltop Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Sheets Memorial Christian at 5:30 p.m. on December 2. As for Woodland Baptist Christian, they will head out to face off against Raleigh Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give Woodland Baptist Christian their first taste of in-conference action this season.
