Baseball Recap: Central Lafourche Takes a Loss

Central Lafourche suffered their biggest defeat since March 8th on Saturday. They came up short against the Destrehan Wildcats, falling 8-1. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Central Lafourche dropped their record down to 10-16 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Destrehan, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-10.

Looking ahead, Central Lafourche will square off against Ascension Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Ascension Christian's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Central Lafourche's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Destrehan, they will face off against South Lafourche at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
