Baseball Recap: Perkins-Tryon Comes Up Short

Perkins-Tryon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Cushing Tigers, falling 12-1. The Demons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Perkins-Tryon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nate Rains, who went 2-for-3 with one double. Those two hits gave Rains a new career-high.

Perkins-Tryon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Cushing, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Cushing beat Perkins-Tryon by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday.
