Recap: Knightstown Panthers vs. Union City Indians
After a string of five wins, the Knightstown Panthers's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They suffered a tough 62-37 defeat at the hands of Union City. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Knightstown has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Knightstown still got an impressive performance from Michael Roberson, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. The matchup was Roberson's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brantt Ellis, who scored four points.
Conner Walser continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Union City, scoring 21 points along with three steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Walser has scored at least 25% of Union City's points. Another player making a difference was Angel Nieto, who scored nine points.
Knightstown's loss dropped their record down to 5-1. As for Union City, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
Knightstown and Seton Catholic will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Seton Catholic's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. As for Union City, they will head out on the road to face off against Tri at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday.
