Volleyball Recap: Pawnee City Indians vs. Diller-Odell Griffin
Pawnee City was the 2-1 winner over Diller-Odell when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians fell just short of the Griffin by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. While the Indians didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Griffin 25-16 in the first set.
Pawnee City started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-9, 25-14.
Their offense was headlined by Taelyn Blecha and Ashlyn Puhalla, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Shayla Puhalla and her six assists. Ashlyn also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Madelyn Osborne, each putting up two.
