Volleyball Recap: South Bison vs. Laramie Plainsmen
South lost against Laramie back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bison came up short against the Plainsmen, falling 3-0. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
While South was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Laramie's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15, 25-16.
Makayla McLaury paced South's offense, picking up five kills. McLaury got some help from Katelynn Brennan and her nine assists. Brennan also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Allyson Felix-Santos, racking up two apiece.
South's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Laramie, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.
South wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Douglas on the 12th. As for Laramie, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Thunder Basin on the 13th.
