Baseball Game Preview: Erie Royals vs. Meadville Bulldogs

The Erie Royals will take on the Meadville Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Erie has given up an average of 8.8 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Erie's offense. They came up short against Cathedral Prep on Wednesday, falling 17-0. The Royals just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Meanwhile, Meadville posted their closest win since April 9th on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Fort LeBoeuf, sneaking past 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Bison: they've now won six in a row.

The team relied heavily on Ian Miller, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024.

Erie's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Meadville, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.
