Santa Maria is a perfect 4-0 against Ben Bolt since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cougars will head out to challenge the Badgers at 5:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, Ben Bolt hadn't done well against Bruni recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Ben Bolt put the hurt on Bruni with a sharp 3-0 win. The game was the first time Ben Bolt has beaten Bruni on their court since October 25, 2019.

Ben Bolt was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-9, 25-22.

Ben Bolt's win came from a few key players Santa Maria will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jaci Mungia, who had five kills and three digs. What's more, she racked up six assists, the most she's had since back in August.

Ben Bolt's victory ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 5-16. As for Santa Maria, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 18-7.

Santa Maria took their win against Ben Bolt when the teams last played on September 9th by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
