Southwestern Randolph never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Uwharrie Charter Academy Eagles. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by eight runs or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Southwestern Randolph and bumps their season record up to 8-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Uwharrie Charter Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Southwestern Randolph Cougars duke it out with Mount Pleasant Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mount Pleasant will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Southwestern Randolph surely won't give up without a fight. As for Uwharrie Charter Academy, they will take on Chatham Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
