Linden came tearing into Friday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.5 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Riverbank Bruins, posting a 42-0 win. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 445th, while the Bruins are ranked 914th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Linden can attribute much of their success to Skyler Bell, who rushed for 66 yards and one TD, and also threw for 145 yards on only 12 passes. DeAndre Smith was another key player, picking up 102 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Linden's run defense was locked in: Riverbank could only muster 2.9 yards per carry. While 11 picked up at least one total tackle, Andrew Juarez stood above the rest. He rushed for 31 yards and a pair of scores. Linden didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.8.

Linden's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Riverbank, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
