Sultan dropped down to 6-4 on Friday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins. They were dealt a 51-6 defeat at the hands of the Tumwater Thunderbirds. While losing is never fun, the Turks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while the Thunderbirds are ranked sixth).

As for Tumwater, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.3 points on average over those games.

Peyton Davis produced another solid effort rushing for 71 yards and two TDs, while also catching one score. Davis is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Gauge Thurber was another key back, rushing for 53 yards and one touchdown.

As of now, neither Sultan nor Tumwater have any future games scheduled.
