Volleyball Recap: Herscher Takes a Loss

Herscher was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Peotone Blue Devils. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Blue Devils when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Peotone scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-20.

Leading Peotone to victory were Ella Stupegia and Peyton Bisping. Stupegia had nine digs and two assists, while Bisping had 12 digs. Bisping has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Herscher's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Peotone, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Herscher has already played their next match (against Clifton Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Peotone, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Paxton-Buckley-Loda on the 27th.
