Hoopeston lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Cole Miller, who went 5-for-6 en route to 11 points and five rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 57% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brayden Walder, who shot 43% from the field to rack up 16 points.

Jake Thompson produced another solid performance dropping a double-double with 23 points and 14 boards for Clifton Central. Blake Chandler was another key player, putting up 18 points and three steals.

Hoopeston's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Clifton Central, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.
