Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Florence). They put the hurt on the San Tan Foothills Sabercats with a sharp 23-9 victory on Monday. The Gophers haven't had any issues with the Sabercats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Florence picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-10. As for San Tan Foothills, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Florence will venture away from home to challenge Seton Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for San Tan Foothills, they will head out to square off against Payson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
