High Plains skates past Elba with ease

The High Plains Storm can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Saturday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 53-26 victory over Elba. The team accrued 42 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.

Leading High Plains to victory were Brodey Spurling and Carson Swedenburg. Spurling scored ten points, while Swedenburg scored 12 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Swedenburg has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Carter Urkoski, who scored six points.

High Plains' victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Elba, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.

High Plains will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Meridian is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Elba, they will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nebraska (Palmer is ranked 282nd, while the Bluejays are ranked 284th).
