Soccer Game Preview: Saguaro vs. Westview

The Saguaro Sabercats will challenge the Westview Knights at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Saguaro is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Dysart a 2-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Sabercats in their matchups with the Demons: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Westview waltzed into their game on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was Westview who was credited with the victory. Westview got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Mesquite's three.

Westview was without their leading scorer, Erick Bello, in Wednesday's contest. With Bello sitting this one out, Haniel Estrada got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. his season average of 56.2).

Westview's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-5. As for Saguaro, their victory bumped their record up to 15-4.
