Preview: Frederick Cadets vs. North Hagerstown Hubs
Frederick is 9-1 against North Hagerstown since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Frederick Cadets will be playing in front of their home fans against the North Hagerstown Hubs at 7:00 p.m. Frederick is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
In what's become a running theme this season, Frederick gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They breezed by Brunswick on the road to the tune of 67-22. Given Frederick's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while Brunswick is ranked 189th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, North Hagerstown scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past South Hagerstown 71-41 on the road. The victory was some much needed relief for North Hagerstown as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Frederick pushed their record up to 15-1 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.2 points per game. As for North Hagerstown, their victory bumped their record up to 3-8.
Frederick came up short against North Hagerstown in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 52-41. Will Frederick have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
