Basketball Game Preview: Fern Creek Tigers vs. Jeffersontown Chargers

The Fern Creek Tigers will venture away from home to square off against the Jeffersontown Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Wednesday, Fern Creek took a blow against Fairdale, falling 78-46. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Jeffersontown waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with an 83-82 win over the Bruins.

Jeffersontown is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Fern Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.

Fern Creek didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Jeffersontown in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 52-47 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fern Creek since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
