            Basketball Recap: Haxtun Fightin' Bulldogs vs. Sedgwick County Cougars        
        
		
        
        
            Haxtun was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They took a  blow against the Sedgwick County Cougars, falling  60-28. While losing is never fun, the Fightin' Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings  (they are ranked 149th, while the Cougars are ranked 29th).
 Despite the loss, Haxtun still got an impressive performance from   Jayleigh Bullard, who  posted eight  points and seven  boards.
 Leading Sedgwick County to victory were  Lainee Nein and  Abigail Dille.  Nein  shot 5-for-8 from deep and  almost  dropped  a double-double with 22 points and nine  steals, while  Dille  went 8-for-11  to rack up 19  points and five  assists. Dille's evening made it four games in a row in which  she has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was  Piper Buettenback, who  put up two points.
Haxtun's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Sedgwick County, the  victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 15-3.
 Haxtun does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sedgwick County, they will challenge Limon at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Sedgwick County's favor as the  squad sits on 13 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Limon has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.
