Softball Recap: Holyoke Takes a Loss

Holyoke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 19-5 to the Granby Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-9 back in April.

Grace Bechard was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Janiya Lagoy, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Holyoke's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Granby, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holyoke will face off against Ludlow at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Granby, they will head out to square off against Ware at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
