The Myers Park Mustangs will take on the South Mecklenburg Sabres at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Myers Park is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
South Mecklenburg will be up against a hot Myers Park team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Myers Park came out on top against Butler by a score of 6-3 on Friday.
Anna Eason spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Regan Godman was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryann Rempson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, South Mecklenburg got the win against Ballantyne Ridge on Thursday by a conclusive 9-1. The result was nothing new for the Sabres, who have now won five matches by eight runs or more so far this season.
Madison Norris made a splash no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Norris was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tia Montgomery, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Bo Schweizer was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
South Mecklenburg hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Myers Park now has a winning record of 5-4. As for South Mecklenburg, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.
Myers Park couldn't quite finish off South Mecklenburg in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 and fell 5-3. Can Myers Park avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
