Flag Football Game Preview: Gilbert Tigers vs. Mesa Jackrabbits + Official Tickets

After each having a week off, the Gilbert Tigers and the Mesa Jackrabbits will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Gilbert's defense has only allowed 10.2 points per game this season, so Mesa's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Gilbert is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Skyline: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Tigers blew the Coyotes out of the water with a 35-6 final score. Considering the Tigers have won three matchups by more than 27 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lilah Barton had another great game (as she tends to do), throwing for 203 yards and four touchdowns, while also punching in one score on the ground. What's more, she racked up 128.8 passer rating, the most she's had since back in October of 2024.

Gilbert didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jaylin Guerrero and Janeah Huynh.

Meanwhile, while Mesa put up some points last Tuesday, the same can't be said for Millennium. The Jackrabbits walked away with a 13-0 win over the Tigers.

The victory (which was Gilbert's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.3 points over those games. As for Mesa, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
