Baseball Recap: Bonita Vista Find Success

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bonita Vista walked away with it. They came out on top against the Sage Creek Bobcats by a score of 7-2 on Friday. This was payback for the Barons, who suffered a 5-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

NICO CHAVEZ looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Bonita Vista is 4-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 8-17 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on TYLER MAULA, who went 2-for-4 with one home run. LORENZO ROBLES was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Bonita Vista's victory bumped their record up to 12-19. As for Sage Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-14.
