Baseball Recap: Prairie Drops Highest Score of Season Against Nezperce

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Prairie). They were the clear victors by a 31-4 margin over the Nezperce Nighthawks on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Nighthawks: they've now won nine in a row.

Kade Quintal was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four runs, five RBI, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Jake Quintal was another key player, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI.

Prairie was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .632. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Prairie's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Nezperce, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Prairie will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Nighthawks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
