Dani Amendola spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

Everett Alvarez's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 8-7. As for North Salinas, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
