Softball Recap: Brawley Triumphs

While Brawley put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Tri-City Christian. The Wildcats came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Not much got past Daniella Yescas, who gave up just five hits to keep Tri-City Christian off the board. Yescas has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Demi Cornejo, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

Brawley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in six consecutive contests.

Brawley's win bumped their record up to 16-10. As for Tri-City Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-11.

Brawley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tri-City Christian, they will face off against Santa Fe Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
