Baseball Recap: Weld Central Rebels vs. Platte Valley Broncos
After flying high against Grand Valley last Saturday, Weld Central came back down to earth. The Rebels fell just short of the Platte Valley Broncos by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Rebels have struggled against the Broncos recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Luke Witzel put in work while hitting and pitching. He struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.
