Baseball Game Preview: DeSoto Fighting Eagles vs. Skyline Raiders

DeSoto is 1-8 against Skyline since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Fighting Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Raiders at 5:00 p.m. DeSoto has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

DeSoto lost 24-1 to Cedar Hill on Friday.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Skyline's offense. They came up short against Waxahachie on Friday, falling 6-0. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

DeSoto's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Skyline, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

DeSoto suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Skyline in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Fighting Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
