Baseball Recap: McCallie Gets the Win

McCallie proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 13) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chattanooga Christian Chargers, sneaking past 4-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-1 on Tuesday.

Peyton Mcallister tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 5.1 innings pitched. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had over his last five contests.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Noah Wilson, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Reagan Kulisek also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

McCallie's record is now 15-8. As for Chattanooga Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

McCallie didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-5 defeat against Boyd-Buchanan on the 9th. As for Chattanooga Christian, they have also already played their next contest, a 13-3 victory against Marion County on the 10th.
