Basketball Game Preview: Tunstall Trojans vs. Dan River Wildcats

Tunstall is on a four-game streak of home losses, Dan River an 18-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Monday. The Tunstall Trojans will welcome the Dan River Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 61-23, which was the final score in Tunstall's tilt against Magna Vista on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while the Warriors are ranked 93rd).

Meanwhile, Dan River scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 69-47 to Gretna. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered since December 19, 2024.

Tunstall's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Dan River, their loss dropped their record down to 1-15.
