Volleyball Recap: Webster Groves Find Success

Webster Groves posted their closest victory since September 27th on Tuesday. They skirted past the Windsor Owls 3-2. This was payback for the Statesmen, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Webster Groves was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 20-25, 22-25, 27-25, 15-10.

Carly Harre paced Webster Groves' offense, picking up 15 kills. Harre got some help from Nina Young and her 26 assists. Young also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Rose Whitemountain, each putting up four.

Despite the loss, Windsor still got an impressive performance from Lexi Happel, who had 12 digs.

The win made it two in a row for Webster Groves and bumps their season record up to 12-16-1. As for Windsor, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-6-2.

Webster Groves didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Kirkwood on the 16th. As for Windsor, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Ursuline Academy on the 16th.
