Basketball Game Preview: Rockwell Christian School Chargers vs. North Hills Christian Eagles

The Rockwell Christian School Chargers will take on the North Hills Christian Eagles in a holiday battle at at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rockwell Christian School is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Last Thursday, Rockwell Christian School ended up a good deal behind Southview Christian and lost 42-26.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Hills Christian). They breezed by Woodlawn to the tune of 85-25 on Friday. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 27 points or more this season.

North Hills Christian's win came from a few key players Rockwell Christian School will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Reese Merrell, who almost dropped a triple-double on 23 points, nine assists, and 12 steals. Those nine assists gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellison Dendy, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten steals.

North Hills Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

North Hills Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Rockwell Christian School, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Rockwell Christian School didn't have too much breathing room in their match against North Hills Christian in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, but they still walked away with a 48-44 win.
