Basketball Recap: Santa Fe Victorious

Santa Fe won the last time they faced Concordia and things went their way on Friday too. The Chiefs walked away with a 44-34 win over the Fighting Orioles. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chiefs.

Mia Lark had a dynamite game, putting up 19 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in blocks (two). Tynlee Koch was another key player, posting eight points and five boards.

Santa Fe smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in six consecutive contests.

Santa Fe's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Concordia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Santa Fe has already played their next matchup, a 41-34 win against Sacred Heart on the 16th. As for Concordia, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Crest Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on January 7, 2026.
